Winter Family Portraits on the Family Farm

There's something incredibly special about photographing families in a place that means something to them, and this session was no exception.

We met on the Kite's family's farm just outside Moorwatha, making the most of a beautiful winter afternoon and one of those golden sunsets that winter does so well.

With six family members, three very enthusiastic dogs, plenty of laughter and wide open paddocks, it was the perfect setting to simply spend time together.

What made this session even more meaningful was that their eldest daughter now lives interstate, so having everyone back together in one place was something they didn't want to take for granted. These are the moments that deserve to be remembered.

Rather than focusing on perfectly posed photos, we let the afternoon unfold naturally. Walking through the paddocks, sharing a few laughs and enjoying the last light of the day created images that feel genuine and full of connection.

It's sessions like these that remind me family photos are about so much more than beautiful images. They're about preserving this season of life, celebrating the people youlove most and creating memories you'll look back on for years to come.
